Confidence in the spatial accuracy and attribution of a dataset is essential if your organisation wishes to maximise the data it holds. En:mapping offers a data audit service to standardise and apply quality assurance checks to your data, so that you can be confident in the conclusions that you draw from a dataset and any statistics you derive.
The data quality process is composed of two stages: first we check the spatial accuracy of the data to make sure they are correctly located, and then we check that the data have the appropriate attribution data attached and that the naming conventions are standardised. After correcting any positional inaccuracies and attribution information, the file is checked against any geometry errors and updated metadata is applied.
We are also able to carry out data audits on information stored in non-spatial databases and have been commissioned in the past to create bespoke software tools for checking data, whether that be for spatial data or on data held within a non-spatial database.
Please contact the office on 0114 2730062 to discuss our services and how we can help improve the data that you hold.
